¿Te imaginas un reloj hecho con la piel de Keith Richards o Pete Townshend? Los tienes en la Rock LTD Collection de Nixon
Como lo oyes, una colección de relojes cuyas correas están hechas con piezas de piel rescatadas de los armarios de leyendas del rock como: Ozzy Osbourne, Keith Richards, Pete Townshend, Tom Waits, Eddie Van Halen, Steven Tyler o Ringo Star. O sea, auténticas joyas.
Todas esas piezas de cuero fueron donadas en su momento a MusiCares MAP Fund®, una asociación benéfica que proporciona tratamientos de desintoxicación a músicos gracias a la organización de subastas.
En una de estas subastas Nixon se hizo con una colección de prendas de cuero: cazadoras, pantalones, correas de guitarras… y las transformó en correr de relojes únicos, con alma de rock.
Por ejemplo, una cazadora de Ozzy Osbourne se ha transformado en un 51-30 Chrono y otra de Keith Richard en un reloj Sentry Chrono, al igual que una bota de Tom Waits o una correa de una guitarra de Pete Townshend. Los Time Teller de la colección han surgido de una colección personal de relojes de Ringo Star.
La colección estará disponible a partir de mediados de noviembre.

the Rock LTD Collection, a limited edition of custom one-of-a-kind timepieces featuring watch straps created with donated leather jackets, pants and guitar straps from some of music’s best and brightest. Proceeds from the sale of these unique timepieces will benefit the MusiCares MAP Fund®, a charity that provides members of the music community access to addiction recovery treatment.
Available for Holiday 2015, the Rock LTD collection will take advantage of leathers worn by the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Keith Richards, Pete Townshend, Tom Waits, Eddie Van Halen, Steven Tyler, and Ringo Starr and transform them into extremely rare, highly collectible, one-of-a-kind timepieces.

The donated leather goods come straight from the artist’s closet, giving the watchbands a worn, lived-in feel. Each watch will be individually, hand-numbered to denote the highly limited nature and will feature etched custom caseback with the name of the artist and a certificate of authenticity from Nixon and MusiCares®. Quantities are extremely limited and only available until they are gone. Previous Rock Ltd Collections have included donated leather from the likes of Anthony Kiedis and Flea, Dave Navarro, Chris Cornell, Scott Weiland, Stephen Perkins, and Jeff Buckley, to name a few.

The first delivery of this exclusive Rock LTD watch collection will be available mid-November in selected retailers and Nixon stores globally including Nixon’s new Seven Dials retail location on Neal Street, London (opening end November, 2015).
