Después de declararse en quiebra en 2013, a punto de convertirse en una ciudad fantasma, Detroit renace de sus cenizas. Fue capital de la automoción y cuna del sonido Motown. Hoy es el nuevo Berlín, el sitio donde más cosas pasan. La ciudad ha vivido mucho y nadie mejor que Carhartt WIP para contarlo. Descendiente directa de Carhartt, la marca europea cuenta la historia de la compañía norteamericana siempre ligada a Detroit y a la cultura del trabajo desde 1889. Y lo hace a través de la gráfica de su colección primavera verano 2016, donde cada detalle es un homenaje a la historia de Detroit y Carhartt madre: desde el código de la ciudad, 313, a mensajes como 8 Hour Work Day en en referencia a la crisis del 29 y cómo Hamilton Carhartt, fundador de la compañía, preserva los derechos de sus trabajadores… Un sinfín de detalles en una colección histórica.

After declaring bankruptcy in 2013, and on the verge of becoming a ghost town, Detroit has risen from its ashes. It was once the automobile capital and the birthplace of Motown sound.
